The Russell Byers Charter School is a 4K – 6th grade public elementary school in Center City, Philadelphia, with over 442 students from 41 neighborhoods. The school’s approach to teaching, school culture and teacher training are centered around Expeditionary Learning Schools (ELS)—an innovative model. ELS emphasizes high achievement through hands-on learning, character growth and teamwork. Russell Byers Charter School join the Class of LTP in the 2011-12 school year.
